Baldur's Gate 3: Steel Watch Foundry Walkthrough & Loot Guide
This Baldur's Gate 3 walkthrough guides players through the Steel Watch Foundry, detailing combat, loot locations (Hell's Maw, Forge's Hammer), crafting (Infernal Engine), and key decisions affecting gnome and Gondian alliances.
Teleport back to the Gray Harbor docks and enter the Foundry directly through the main entrance.

Eliminate the Steel Watch patrolling the courtyard. When critically wounded, the Steel Watch will initiate a self-destruct sequence. Continuing to attack them at this point will cause them to explode immediately. Move out of the red circle area before they detonate to avoid the blast.
You can obtain various forms of Infernal Iron from the Steel Watch. You'll find plenty of this material later on.

There isn't much else in the courtyard, so proceed directly through the main entrance into the Foundry's interior.

Upon entering the Steel Foundry, join the enslaved Gondians in defeating Gortash's subordinates.

From Gortash's subordinates, you can acquire the rare weapon, the Hell's Maw. During combat, enemies will drop activated detonators. We need to disable these, otherwise, the Gondians will be killed by the devices around their necks.

After defeating all enemies, speak with the Gondians.

Next, loot the Foundry. In the northeast corner of the main hall, you can find the rare equipment, the Steel Watcher Helmet.

On a table in the southeast corner, pick up the item Steel Watcher Arm.

On a table in the southwest corner of the room, grab the item Aiming Module.

Enter the room on the west side of the Foundry and pick up the Watcher's Crossbow Blueprint from the table.

Then, on the north side of the room, activate the crafting bench and place the arm, aiming module, and blueprint into it.

Click to synthesize and craft the rare weapon, the Infernal Engine.

Afterward, take the cargo lift or stairs down to the basement.

Upon reaching the laboratory level, defeat Gortash's minions and Steel Watchers. The Gondians will not move out of the Steel Watchers' self-destruct radius, so you can push them out of the red circles.

On a table on the east side of the room, you can find a Mind Flayer Parasite Specimen.

After some looting, proceed to the antechamber of the control center.

In the control center, defeat the Steel Watcher Titan and three other Steel Watchers.

From the Steel Watcher Titan, you can obtain the legendary weapon, Forge's Hammer.

Finally, go to the easternmost part of the room. Investigate the Neuro-Net and place the Rune Bomb given to you by Wulbren into it, then detonate it to destroy the Steel Watch Foundry and deactivate all Steel Watchers.

As you leave the Foundry, Wulbren will arrive with his people to confront the Gondians. If you met Barcus at the Last Light Inn earlier, you can now nominate him to be the leader of the gnomes, securing support from both the gnomes and the Gondians. However, if Barcus, for some reason, didn't appear at the inn (as was the case for the author), you'll have to choose between helping Wulbren kill the Gondians or persuading Wulbren to stand down. Whichever side you choose to support, they will come to your aid during the final battle.
Upon the complete destruction of the Steel Watch Foundry, characters with Soldier or Outlander backgrounds will receive an inspiration.
With this, the entire Lower City has been explored. Next, we will return to Wyrm's Rock Fortress to confront Gortash directly.
